If you choose not to stay over in JHB we can arrange a pickup at JHB airport and transport to hunting area at a minimal fee. However, if you fly into Polokwane there is no pickup fee.
By law if you want to hunt one of the big five the minimum caliber is a 375. For plain game from a .270 upwards is acceptable. Depending on number of animals hunted about 40 cartridges of ammo will be sufficient. Ammo has to be in an ammo case in your check in luggage.Handguns are allowed in South Africa as long as it has a scope fixed to it.
Mick Jameson can advise you on all the paperwork needed for your rifle. Rifles can be rented at $50 a day ammo included if you do not want to bring your own.
There are no permits needed for Bow or Crossbow.
Valid passport is needed in South Africa. No need for a visa.

We will field prepared all your trophy's and arrange for the Taxidermist pick up. It is your choice if you want your trophy's to be mounted in South Africa or have it shipped to the USA to a taxidermist of your choice. We make use of:
